I am listening to Fat Boy Slim's Because We Can - which forever for me will be watching my cast come up to do their bows at the end of Musketeers. The applause in my ears, the rumble under my feet from foot stomping & the cast moving, the healthy scent of sweat from many bodies moving LOTS for the fights, and the grins on their faces.

It amuses me - a song that was, I believe, orginally predominately women for Moulin Rouge is now very much tied up for me in the testosterone of Musketeers.

It's no longer a song for me - it's a sensory experience....

for my own remembrance.

Nita was not made to be a SAHM.

I think the next person I hear disparaging the amount of sheer,brutal, fucking work it is to be a SAHM is getting either a) a shot to the mouth or b) a severe tongue-lashing - depending on how tired I am.

SAHM is work - anyone who tells you different is selling something.

This happened a while back (few months ago).

Sitting in the living room at CFRQ. One of the Moms is going through a bag of hand me downs for her little girl to see if any of them would fit. She pulls out this *VERY SHORT* skirt. My first comment is "that's not a skirt, it's a belt."

There is some discussion about the length of skirts when we were all younger.

Words out of my mouth, "If I wore a skirt that short, my father would have had a coronary."

[livejournal.com profile] cielf pipes up with, "Sooner."

*brief pause - like maybe 2-3 seconds.

Nita bursts out giggling and rolling around.

Yah, I have a messed up sense of humour...( If you don't get the joke )
