the_nita: usual shot when I'm directing - since I'm *not* looking at actors, I must be working on the script. (Mrs. Bob)
Okay - I get to brag a bit.

Remember R&G? When we said we had a sold out night, and because some of the reserves didn't show, we didn't?

The first Saturday of Mrs. Bob? Yah - it's sold out - as in, money-in-hand-sold-out.

The other nights (with the exception of the second Thursday) are all at between 1/2 & 3/4 full already. Book your tickets now, folks - this one's going to be a hot ticket!

Your incredibly happy and gloating producer

R&G is sold out for Saturday night.
As of last night, tonight's audience is sitting at 80 - pretty damned close to another sold out show.

WHEE!

That's right, folks. According to the email I just got from KWLT's front of house manager, we're 2 tickets away from selling out Saturday's show.

If you haven't booked your tickets, may I suggest contacting them right away at boxoffice@kwlt.org or 519-886-0660 - and if you can't get in for Saturday, try Friday - that's filling quickly too though.

Your friendly neighbourhood producer.

Having sales for your show leaping to make you glad you said yes when you were asked to produce.

Between yesterday's last report and today's report (including the walk-ins last night, as reported by my sweetie), we're up 35 ticket sales from yesterday.

35.

One day.

Dude.

*huge grin*

Tonight's audience is...15 away from being declared sold out as well (if you're planning on coming tonight, and don't have a ticket or reservation, call 519-886-0660 or email boxoffice@kwlt.org ASAP.)

Yes.

And there's still next week to fill with word of mouth.

Ho-freaking-rah.

According to the KWLT Box Office, if you just try to walk up and get tickets (aka, haven't bought or reserved them) for this Saturday's show, you're likely walking away again.

We're *this* close to selling out for that night (as in I think he might have 10 more tickets available) - reservations keep pouring in.

People - if you're coming, RESERVE NOW!

KWLT presents Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard

Where: St. Jacob's Church Theatre, 1376 King St. N., St. Jacobs ON

When: March 22-24, 29-31, 2007 at 8pm

Tickets: $15 for non-members, $10 for KWLT members. Group & Eyego pricing available. Please call (519) 886-0660 or email foh@kwlt.org to reserve tickets. Tickets also available for purchase through Centre in the Square (519 578-1570) for a small surcharge.

Rosencrantz& Guildenstern Are Dead is about ambiguity: ambiguity in time, place, comprehension, identity. The two characters brought into being within the puzzling universe of the play, by an act of the playwright's creation and other characters they encounter, often confuse their names, as they have interchangeable yet periodically unique identities. They are portrayed as two clowns or fools in a world that is beyond their understanding; they cannot identify any reliable feature or the significance in words or events. Rosencrantz & Guildenstern inhabit a world completely beyond their comprehension. While awaiting instructions, they fall back upon games -- word play and simple wagers-- that rarely achieve their intended goals. In the end, they resign themselves to their fate, although Guildenstern says, "There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said -- no. But somehow we missed it." Perhaps.

Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.

Reserve your tickets now - tickets are going fast and some nights nearly sold out!

And once again, I'm performing.

However, thanks to the small cricket that lives on my shoulder (little bugger), I'm doing something a little different.

The secrets of the universe will be revealed (or I'll trainwreck in a hopefully spectacularly funny manner), this Friday night at 8pm - see http://www.battleofthebards.com for details about getting tickets.

We're also doing a promo for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard after the show - come - it'll be fun.

See you there!

Edit: Can I be blamed for wishing it was Thursday?

FYI, the last day to pre-purchase tickets to any of the six showings of KWLT's "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" by Tom Stoppard is Saturday march 10 (one week tomorrow).

All cast & crew with outstanding ticket sales sheet and cash are required to turn the sales stuff in at the Sunday, March 11th rehearsal for final collation by Front of House. After March 10, tickets will only be available at the door for $15 or by reserving at the full price through foh@kwlt.org. (You can also order them through Centre in the Square's box office, but there's an additional surcharge on that, so I don't recommend it if you can reserve via FoH for the normal ticket price.)

Buy now, buy often! :)

Thank you to all the folks who came out and made FASS so memorable for me. This time, I'm producing KWLT's next Main Stage production. I'm a publicity tramp, and I'm hoping you all can come see the show!

If you're interested in tickets, I can also arrange for them - pay me in advance and I can get you in at discount prices!

If you pre-purchase your tickets to "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead" through me, i will give you..... a backrub.

Not that I'm competitive or really good with my hands or anything...
the_nita: usual shot when I'm directing - since I'm *not* looking at actors, I must be working on the script. (R&G)
(More or less reposting [livejournal.com profile] much_ado's post, but with some semblance of capitals and removing extraneous commentary towards the producer)

If you're a non-member, you can purchase (not just reserve, but you must actually pay for) tickets for a specific evening for the members' price of $10/ticket through any of the cast or crew of KWLT's production of "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead."

For those living under a rock for the past several months, here are the show dates again :)

Thurs-Sat, March 22-24 and 29-31, 8pm curtain all shows.

To purchase said tickets, here's what we need:

  • the names associated with each ticket

  • your contact phone/email information

  • number of tickets required,

  • the nights that the tickets are required,

  • does the patron require the tickets in advance or will they be held at the box office,

  • amount and method of payment (cash or cheque made payable to "Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre")

No payment = no reservation. I believe, and will confirm, that paid reservations can be refunded at the door.

Contrary to [livejournal.com profile] much_ado's post, I think I'm putting together a little contest for the cast/crew for ticket sales - prize to be determined and announced at Sunday's rehearsal (and then email). Not that I have a competitive streak in me or anything.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

To all the nice folks who told me that they could help me this Saturday with the audition poster run, I'm going to let you sort of off the hook.

Because I won't have confirmation from the KWLT BoD until next week that we're going with the address we've got, I am loathe to put up posters that say "contact us at XXX to find out where they are being held".

Sooo...

I'm going to be putting posters up the following Saturday (December 2 for those of you paying attention). If you're still free, grand. If you're not, I understand that changing schedules sometimes mean casualties, and the holidays don't help that at all.

Many thanks to those of you who offered to make time for me on a potentially chilly November morning. I'll take advantage of you another time.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, but it looks like unless the KWLT board finds us something else they'd rather use, we have an audition space.

I'll leave it in the board's hands for now as to rehearsal space (they're supposed to have that cleared up by the 28th) and thank my friends and my talented SM for helping us out...

Hey folks,

If you live in KW and know of a board room, meeting room, etc that I could rent, beg or borrow for 3 evenings (specifically, January 3-5) for the R&G auditions, please let me know. St. John's Lutheran has changed their minds recently about letting KWLT continue using it (it's been a few years, seems reasonable, just bad timing for us), so we're in hunt for a new space.

If you're not comfortable commenting here, please email me at akilgour at gmail dot com.

Many thanks!

Hi folks!

Saturday, November 25, I'm planning on doing a run to put up posters for the auditions for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead. I would really appreciate getting some assistance/company/aid with this.

If anyone has an hour or two they can give me that morning/early afternoon (I'm thinking like 11am to 1pm or so), I'll provide the coffee & snacks. Depending on what I can swing for thermoses, I can even do the superyummy fresh roasted/ground coffee that my darling [livejournal.com profile] woodardp and [livejournal.com profile] much_ado have been raving over.

If you can help, lemme know. Many thanks!
