the_nita: usual shot when I'm directing - since I'm *not* looking at actors, I must be working on the script. (KWLT)
More building at KWLT - 9 Princess St. E.

We'll be doing all sorts of interesting things - insulating, sealing, possibly some caulking (depends on weather), plumbing, conduit installation and blocking in the walls. This is hopefully the last build day before drywall.

We'll have a BBQ lunch for those who come and help.

Please wear clothing you can get dirty and come out and help!

Hope to see you there,
Chris

Hey everyone,

Two things I'd really love some assistance with the signal boost.

1) the KWLT Fundraising dinner - we really want to see people at this (tickets have started to sell, we're at something like 20% sold now), but we also would like to see new people (not just the members every time...everyone has financial limits.*G*) - information is here.

2) I really want to see the trailer/teaser for Twelve Angry Men everywhere - if you can link to it, embed it, whatever it, that would be amazing. I've got it on my LJ here, and the YouTube page is here.

Thanks, folks.

There will be a Rebuild Day on Saturday, September 13th, starting at 10am.

Come out and help us rebuild our theatre! We'll be doing an assortment of tasks, from plumbing to shed finalizing. Don't feel you need to be an expert to come out - all you need is to be willing!

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty and come dressed for the weather, whatever it might be.

So we have the next few months figured out.

You all know about the build day schedule for next Saturday, August 30, starting at 10am at KWLT's rebuild site - 9 Princess St. E. in Waterloo.

Same place, same time of day, we've got a few more sesions set up.

September 20 & 21, we'll be at the site doing landscaping things - bring gloves, gardening gear, and clothes you don't mind getting muddy.
October 18, we're in the building handling drywall - breath masks, drills and work gloves are recommended.
November 1, we'll be in painting all that lovely drywall - prime, paint, you name it - don't forget your painting clothes.
November 22 is the last scheduled build day for now - that's putting in flooring - again, something comfortable and able to get a little grubby (but we'll have nice floor at the end!) and if you have knee pads, probably a good choice.

Email Chris (rebuild@kwlt.org) or myself (volunteer@kwlt.org) if you need more information.

Thanks & see you all there!

Hi, everyone!

Once again I invade your inbox, this time with my Rebuild Chairman hat on. We'll be doing a day of yard work on August 25th, starting at 10am. We'll be following in the path of our contractors, who (hopefully!) willhave just finished the last significant work in our yard, the water main installation.

This means we'll be working to make our yard more friendly to our neighbours - we've been a construction site too long! While we've still got work going on the inside (and still have stucco to do on the exterior), there's no reason we can't start to fit in nicely with theneighbourhood. Besides, we're looking to have a BBQ the following Saturday (see upcoming notice for that) and we'll want a nice place to hold that.

So, come on out and give us a hand. Please feel free to drop me an email if you're coming, but drop ins are always welcome.

As always, comments and questions can be directed to [livejournal.com profile] oldgrover.

Passing on for Rob Legood, KWLT Pres.

Kitchener Waterloo Little Theatre; a small community theatre which, for a number of years, lived at 9 Princess St. East in downtown Waterloo. We lived there until, three years ago to the day, on July 19th, 2002, our theatre burned to the ground and the process of Rebuilding began.

Today, three years later, we are within reach of opening our new theatre to the public so we'd like to offer an invitation to join us at the old site for a KWLT Rebuild BBQ! It'll take place this Saturday, July 23rd, from 11am to 2:30pm. For sale will be also sorts of BBQ stuff (burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, sausages) as well as other snacks.

While you're there, we'll be providing tours of the building's shell to walk you through what the new theatre will look like once it's complete. A DVD will be playing with scenes from previous rebuild days as well as our groundbreaking ceremony, and (weather permitting) a DJ will be on hand to entertain us with music. Several Board members will also be there to answer questions about the Rebuild project, or other aspects of the theatre.

We're very excited to be getting back to our space and want to share that excitement with you. This Saturday, take a break for lunch, come down to KWLT, enjoy some BBQ and say hi to the hard-working people involved with this theatre.

As always, you can check out our website, www.kwlt.org, for more information on the Rebuild effort and the shows and auditions we have coming up. (Which *cheapplug* includes auditions for Dracula running July 25-27 and performances of the July One Act Play Weekend from July 28-30.

Hope to see you out!!!

Rob LeGood
President - KWLT
