the_nita: usual shot when I'm directing - since I'm *not* looking at actors, I must be working on the script. (Don Quixote)
A number of years ago, [livejournal.com profile] greensabre27 was telling me his "if I win the lottery" story.

Since then, apparently it's been percolating in my head.

You see - I know a lot of people. Like a lot.

And I have a small requirement (evidently) in my choice of people I hang out with. They need to be smart, and they need to have some talent/skill. Yah - I know. Inspecific. But it seems to work.

Here's the thing. Generally (and sadly, not all the time), when someone says "Hey Nita, I need to do X, how do I do that?" and I don't know the answer, I do know who they could talk to find the answer.

And I get to thinking.

If I win the lottery (thereby assuring us of startup capital), I think I'm going to offer my network of friends a job working for a consulting company.

What do we consult on? What's not working for you? Likely, we have someone who can solve that problem for you.

Rates? It'll depend on how much of a moron we think you are (though I should probably have someone better with words ([livejournal.com profile] much_ado, [livejournal.com profile] bridgeoutahead, [livejournal.com profile] hel_ana, etc, etc, etc comes to mind) word that...).

Laughter - my husband just walked in and said "Oh great - you're making the A-Team"

Heeeheee...that means I get to be Hannibal.

Or Face.

I've always wanted to be Face.

The irony is wonderful - the Zimmers cover of "My Generation"

Please let me be this cool when I get older.
