I'm apparently going to learn to make cheese.
I need like 6lbs of "ripe soft cheese" for a dish I'm making for the feast I'm cooking in September. That's around $60 and up to buy from a cheese shop.
One of my coworkers makes cheese. I asked him and he's going to teach me to make it myself and I'll wind up paying around $30 for the cheese.
Works for my budget, plus I'll be in a position to do this for other things in the future...which has some cool opportunities built in.
