The way my memory works

I am listening to Fat Boy Slim's Because We Can - which forever for me will be watching my cast come up to do their bows at the end of Musketeers. The applause in my ears, the rumble under my feet from foot stomping & the cast moving, the healthy scent of sweat from many bodies moving LOTS for the fights, and the grins on their faces.

It amuses me - a song that was, I believe, orginally predominately women for Moulin Rouge is now very much tied up for me in the testosterone of Musketeers.

It's no longer a song for me - it's a sensory experience....

Last week before the KWLT Fundraiser

Folks?

KWLT is having a fundraising dinner on October 6, at 6pm at the Castle on King Restaurant. Proceeds are to go towards rebuilding our theatre. Tickets are $60 per seat, $200 for a table of four, and there are charitable receipts for a portion of the ticket price. Why am I telling you this?

* Live theatre is something I believe has value to our community
* Please help me rebuild a space for people to be able to entertain the community in an accessible and fun manner.

Because I live, breathe, eat and sleep theatre. Because it's one of the few things in my life outside of a specific person that make me purely happy. Because I don't want to have to start over from scratch. Because I want to keep entertaining you with silliness, swords, half-nekkid people, and laughter. Please - help me.

There will be a variety of entertainment during the evening, including a preview of our upcoming production of the courtroom drama classic, Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose.
