Rereading the Flylady website. Still run smack into the "dress down to the shoes" thing. There's a comment she makes in the FAQ:
I don't want to hear, "I don't wear shoes in my house". Well you do now. Buy or clean up a pair just for that reason. - FlyLady
To which my internal voice says "Screw you, lady. I've never worn shoes in my house. Not as a child, not as an adult." One of the things from growing up in a household run by a japanese mother. Mom would have murdalised me if I had.
I read the rest of the shoes bit and think, "Pop-psychology bunk. She gets this from working as a door to door cosmetics person. Ri-ight."
