First off – please let me apologize to anyone who’s been having problems getting into the site recently. I’m working with our technical people, but it appears to be a combination of problems with Firefox being the browser most often hit with this and some odd server related issue. I promise, we’re working on it.
In a little less than 2 weeks, we have our first read through for The Taming of the Shrew. I have almost all the cast in place (still working on a few of the minor characters now). I am very excited about this – this first read will be the acid test that my internal read on the chemistry between the various characters will work. Not much doubt on my part there, but it’s always that delicious “top of the roller coaster” feeling – when you’re approaching the first drop of the coaster and you know that everything will work out but at the same time, you start going “oh boy – why am I doing this again???”
That sensation is one of my favourite things about directing – the giant rush as you realise that this ride will be fabulous is another one.
