So I've got the first sleeve more or less sewn in - still have about 3" left (need to thread up new yarn to finish it).

I need to work the collar up a little in pattern before doing the actual collar, but that's no problem. The underarm *fits* and the arm fits him comfortably.
I'm so pleased with myself. This is the first one I designed myself from the get go. It fits (and I learned little details about how to fix things like that in the future), it's pretty, and he's happy.
Hell, if I was actually working on it regularly (on the order of 1 hour per night - time I spend chilling in front of the tube before crashing at the end of the day), I'd have been done a good month ago. I figure there's about ~100 hours of my time in this. I figure I can shave a goodly portion off of that as I get more familiar with doing the math required (and I don't screw up reading the measurements and having to make *3* sleeves).
Yah, there will be pictures when it's done.
I've also done the design work on two more sweaters on my list (leaving 2 more that I know of that I need to source materials and design time for).
