With the standard caveat of you don't have to answer if you want not to.
1/ A long, long time ago, you started a novel told from the point of view of a hypothetical (at the time) offspring. Although you have, as far as I know, no plans to finish that, how would it change now that you have a son?
Not much, other than the somewhat fanciful name of the eldest brother of the narrator would have to change.
2/ You have one hour to attempt to convince one historical figure to take or not take a specific action -- there is no language/culture barrier to consider. What action of what figure would you attempt to change?
Lee Harvey Oswald - so I never again had to hear what a freaking saint JFK was or about another assinine plot.
3/ What movement/advance/discovery of the past 200 years would you most like to have been part of?
Gods - TNTC...
I guess the best I could come up with is the work that's being done (now-ish) to help develop ways for the disabled to be able to rewire their brains to use other bits to get things to work.
4/ You seem quite uneasy with being alone for long periods of time. Why?
I am fundamentally a more social person than most. I also don't like the yawning self-examination that tends to come with prolonged singleness for me. Self-examination is good for me, but at length, my tendency to be a perfectionist gets in the way and I start beating myself hard.
5/ Would you consider making the next drive CD? (yeah, that's cheating. I'll come up with a better one later...)
Sure.*G*
