As those of you who've paid attention before know, I am in lust with many of the yarns at Near Sea Naturals
- they have organic animal & plant based yarns - bamboo, merino, cotton, "banana silk", hemp - really lovely , reasonably priced, and a format of materials that calls to my wanna-be-hippy side.
Here's the issue.
They're based in New Mexio.
The W-B-H in me goes "gah - surely you can find higher-minded yarns closer to you.
You'd think that.
Most yarn stores - not so much. I am usually doing well if I can find them carrying something that isn't just plastic yarn and is actually a natural fibre. Then asking for ethical fibres means the price triples.
NSN? They have really reasonable prices.
Good price, good product, huge shipping issues.
Local, good product, price gouging.
I hate making decisions like this.
